Club Room - Canteen
The Club Room (AKA The Canteen) welcomes all members of the American Legion, Auxiliary, SAL, and their guests. We also welcome members of other Posts with proper ID (membership card).
This is where most of the action is! Get together with friends, family, and fellow Veterans and relax in your space, or come join us on dinner nights with karaoke, bands, and other fun activities!
Club Room - Things To Know
The club room accepts cash and credit cards. There is a nominal fee for credit card use. In addition, there is an ATM available inside.
All guests are required to sign in on the guest book located at the club room entrance. Guests are defined as follows: Not a Legion member, Auxiliary member, or SAL member? Then you are a guest! THIS IS IMPORTANT! Our permit as a non-profit organization operating a bar requires this.
Dress code is as follows: Shirts, pants and/or shorts, blouses with skirts, and dresses as appropriate are required. Footwear (shoes and/or sandals) is also required. No exposed undergarments and/or exposed inappropriate "private parts" (you know what we mean).
Smoking - We have a lighted and covered smoking patio accessed through the rear double doors.
Minors - children are allowed in the club room but must be accompanied by an adult. Minors under 21 years cannot sit or stand at the bar (please use table seating only).
We like to have fun here at Post 496 and sometimes the festivities get a little loud for some, it's all part of the friendly atmosphere. However, unruly or uncivil behavior and/or language is cause for removal from the Club Room. The bartender is authorized to remove anyone who violates behavior rules. Remember, access to the club room is a privilege of membership, not a right!
Club Room Amenities
FULL BAR: Order up your favorite mixed drink, wine, or beer. We have Coors Light, Miller Light, Blue Moon, 805, Modelo Especial, and Michelob Ultra on tap (subject to change).
HDTV'S: 4 HDTV's throughout the club room for your viewing pleasure. Let the bartender know what you want to see!
TOUCH TUNES INTERNET JUKE BOX: Listen to your favorite songs from an unlimited song list!
POOL TABLE: Regulation size. Rack 'em up and get your pool shark on!
DART MACHINE: For you soft-tip sure-shots!
FRIENDLY BARTENDERS: Our bartenders are sociable and welcoming, making you feel at ease because you're part of the American Legion family!
